On Monday 8th June, we were thrilled to welcome Olympic sprinter Joel Fearon to our school for a fantastic, sponsored circuits event.
Students took part in a range of energetic activities, including spotty dogs, shoulder taps, star jumps and squat jumps. Joel was a brilliant role model throughout the day, actively joining in and encouraging everyone to give their best effort. His positivity and enthusiasm had a huge impact, motivating both students and staff to get fully involved and enjoy being active.
We are incredibly proud to share that the event raised an amazing £1,037 in total. From this, £466.45 will be used to purchase new sports equipment for the school, helping to support physical activity for all our students. The remaining funds will be donated to Great Athletes, allowing them to continue their valuable work inspiring young people across the country.
A huge thank you goes to Joel Fearon for visiting us and to all students, families and staff who supported the event and helped make it such a success.
