This week at Mill House School, we have taken time to reflect on the Holocaust and its lasting impact. As part of Holocaust Memorial Week, our students have engaged with a range of powerful resources to deepen their understanding of this important history.
We listened to a Holocaust memorial webinar, watched a Newsround documentary, explored the graphic novel Maus, and heard a moving radio extract from the liberation of Buchenwald Concentration Camp. These experiences have helped us to consider the importance of remembrance, the dangers of discrimination, and the need to stand up against hatred in all its forms.
Through these activities, our students have had the opportunity to develop their historical awareness and reflect on the human stories behind the history. At Mill House School, we are committed to fostering empathy, critical thinking, and a strong sense of social responsibility in our students.
