On Tuesday 12th May, our Year 9 boys took part in an inspiring World of Work visit to Tesco Coventry Arena Extra, delivered in partnership with the King’s Trust. From the moment we arrived, the Tesco team made us feel incredibly welcome, providing a well-organised, engaging and supportive experience for everyone involved.
Throughout the day, students were introduced to the wide range of roles within the store and gained valuable insight into how a large, successful business operates. They developed essential employability skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving, while also building their confidence in a professional environment.
The staff were fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely invested in giving our students the best possible experience. Our group left feeling motivated, inspired, and much more aware of the opportunities available to them in the future.
