This week, our Year 8 students enjoyed a meaningful visit to Bablake, where they had the opportunity to engage with residents and make a real difference through simple acts of kindness.
During the visit, students spent time with a resident who doesn’t often get the chance to go out, offering companionship and conversation. Others enjoyed chatting with residents in the garden, making the most of the sunny weather and relaxed atmosphere. The boys’ positive attitudes and friendly manner brought smiles to many faces.
Students also lent a helping hand during the tea and coffee break, supporting staff and ensuring residents felt comfortable and cared for. The visit was a valuable experience, helping students develop empathy, confidence, and a sense of community responsibility—skills that will stay with them well beyond the classroom.
