Students enjoyed a fantastic Careers Day thanks a wide range of speakers generously giving up their time to deliver personalised presentations, workshops and question and answer sessions about their specific professions explaining to our young people the potential job roles which are waiting for them in the world of work.
Visitors included (but were not limited to!) veterinary science, flower arranging, graffiti artist, car mechanics – pupils completed a mock MOT on a car -, prison officer work and embalming. We even had a zoo keeper join us remotely from their animal conservation research trip in the midst of a tropical jungle!
Students were given details about how to access different careers, such as which qualifications to work towards, what to include on application letters, how to approach interviews and particularly fulfilling aspects of that specific job role.
