On 12 October 2026, our Year 8 and Year 10 students enjoyed an exciting visit to the Cheltenham Literature Festival, a celebration of reading, writing and the incredible power of storytelling.
Throughout the day, students took part in engaging talks, discussions and literary activities led by authors, speakers and creative professionals. The event provided a unique opportunity for students to explore different genres, discover new ideas and gain insights into the world of literature.
The festival encouraged students to think creatively, develop their own writing skills and deepen their appreciation of how stories can inspire, educate and connect people. It also highlighted the importance of language and communication in everyday life, helping students recognise the impact that words can have on both individuals and society.
Visits such as these play an important role in enriching our curriculum and fostering a lifelong love of reading. We are incredibly proud of how positively our students represented the school and hope the experience has inspired them to continue exploring the world of books and creative writing.
