This week, one of our Year 9 pupils enjoyed a truly special drop‑down reward day, recognising the fantastic progress he has made and the consistent effort he shows every day. His achievements have not gone unnoticed, and this personalised experience was designed to celebrate everything he has worked so hard for.
One of the unique features of the day was that he was able to design his own timetable of meaningful and enjoyable activities. He chose tasks that reflected his interests, strengths, and passions—making the whole experience both rewarding and purposeful.
He began by planting trees in our outdoor area, contributing to a lasting improvement to the school environment. He also threw himself into an impressive enterprise project, making and selling bracelets to raise funds for his own initiative.
Creativity and wellbeing were woven throughout the day. He spent time exploring sensory play with dough and sensory toys, allowing him to relax, regulate, and express himself. And of course, no perfect day would be complete without some much‑loved quality time with Bear the hamster, who was more than happy to join the celebration.
Throughout every activity, his attitude was exemplary—positive, engaged, and full of pride. We are incredibly proud of the progress he has made, and we look forward to seeing where his hard work and determination take him next.
