Our Year 7 and Year 8 students have been busy preparing thoughtful and insightful questions for upcoming live Q&A sessions with journalists from the BBC and The Guardian.
Building on a topic studied last half term, students revisited key ideas and explored how they connect to the real world of journalism and media. The quality of the questions produced has been genuinely impressive, reflecting not only a strong understanding of the subject matter but also a growing confidence in critical thinking and curiosity about current affairs.
From probing how stories are selected, to exploring bias, accuracy, and the responsibilities of journalists, students demonstrated maturity well beyond their years. Their enthusiasm for engaging directly with professionals in the field has been a real highlight of the week.
We’re very much looking forward to the live sessions and the opportunity for our students to see their learning come to life through meaningful dialogue with experienced journalists.
