This week, our Year 8 students enjoyed an unforgettable trip to The King’s Trust in Digbeth, where they took part in a special creative workshop designed by Apple.
During the session, students were challenged to design their own dream apps — and their creativity truly shone through! From apps focused on pets and transport to those promoting lifestyle and wellbeing, the ideas were as diverse as they were imaginative.
As part of the visit, students were given a guided tour of The King’s Trust building, learning about the inspiring work that takes place there. They also got to enjoy a pizza lunch and meet many of the welcoming staff members who make the space so special.
A highlight of the day was meeting the Lord Mayor, Zafar Iqbal MBE, who was attending an anti-bullying event at the same time. Students were thrilled to meet him and hear about his work in the community.
Before heading home, there was even time for a little fun on the swing on the top floor — a firm favourite among everyone!
A huge thank you to Apple and The King’s Trust for such an inspiring, creative, and memorable day. Our Year 8s returned buzzing with new ideas and excitement for the future!
