This week, Year 8 students brought a wonderful sense of warmth and companionship to the residents of Bablake House. From the moment they arrived, the students immersed themselves in creating a relaxed, friendly atmosphere.
They served coffee, offered gentle manicures, and spent meaningful one‑to‑one time chatting with residents, who were delighted by the company. The conversations were full of laughter, stories and genuine connection, with students showing maturity, kindness and a natural ease in building rapport.
Their visit not only brightened the day for the residents but also gave students a valuable opportunity to practise empathy, communication and confidence in a real‑world setting. It was a pleasure to see our young people contributing so positively to the wider community.
