As part of their work with The King’s Trust, our Year 10 students recently visited a local retail store to observe and evaluate customer service in a real-world setting. The trip formed part of their enterprise and employability project, giving them a valuable opportunity to apply classroom learning to practical experience.
During the visit, students assessed key aspects of customer service, including communication skills, professionalism, product knowledge, and the overall shopping environment. They also had the chance to speak with store staff and reflect on how customer service can influence business reputation and customer loyalty.
The visit encouraged students to think critically about workplace standards and sparked thoughtful discussions back at school. We’re proud of the mature and inquisitive way they approached the task—and grateful to the local business for welcoming our young people so warmly.
